- Forest Stewardship for Forest Landowners Webinar Series The Northern California Society of American Foresters and University of California Cooperative Extension are offering a webinar series on forest stewardship. - The Forest Practice Watershed Mapper allows users to identify the status of a specific planning watershed in accordance with the Anadromous Salmonid Protection (ASP) Rules, which require that every timber operation contribute to salmonid habitat restoration.
- SRA Review CAL FIRE conducts a 5 year review of SRA maps as required by PRC 4125 to capture changes in land use, for example conversion in or out of agriculture, areas of densification due to development, and other relevant changes. The 2010 changes are available for review and comment. There is a public hearing scheduled for January 5, 2011.
- 2010 AssessmentThe federal- and state-mandated forest and range assessment report is now available online. Also available are maps, GIS data, and complete enumeration tables for each analysis.
- Climate Threat Index DataA Climate Threat Index was developed to better understand the projected trends in climate variables across forest and rangelands in California using downscaled climate change data for three Global Climate Models.
- California Timber Yield Tax Volume and Value TrendsHistorical BOE Timber Harvest Data by Species, County, Ownership.
- Fire Hazard Severity Zone Re-Mapping ProjectInformation describing maps and data of state designated areas requiring disclosure of potential wildfire hazards used in real-estate transactions.
- Real Estate Disclosure - Wildfire HazardsInformation on the development of new Fire Hazard Zoning Maps for both SRA and LRA due to be adopted Jan. 2008.
- Southern California Insect Related Tree MortalityOngoing emergency hazard mitigation efforts, as well as the need for long term planning for forest recovery and rehabilitation drive the need to assess the status and change to forests in a timely and quantitative manner.
- FRAP Watershed ResourcesProviding information relevant to watershed assessment and planning for a wide range of audiences, e.g. watershed groups, landowners, and public agencies.
